Hi. I'm done with law school. I. Am. Done. With. Law school. I can't believe it's over. Holy shit.
It hasn't really sunk in yet, particularly because of what's ahead of me this summer. But as far as law school is concerned, I have nothing left to do. No papers to write, to exams to study for, no homework to do. It feels great. What also feels great are the grades that have popped up on my computer screen today. I only have two of them back, but they're excellent, for me anyway. An 86 in Trusts and Estates, and an 88 on my Education Law paper. I know B's don't sound like much, but they are, believe me. They're actually tied for my best and second-best grades in law school ever. My Education Law professor was proctoring my exam this morning, and after it was over, I asked him if I could take a look at my paper. His eyes got wide, and he asked, "Are you telling me you're unhappy with your grade?" I said no, of course not, I was thrilled with my grade, and I wanted to see what it was that I did right. He said he really didn't have that many comments about it -- the better the grade, the fewer the criticisms. But he did say something which meant a lot, and that is that he didn't think what the Kansas School Board did was at all unconstitutional until he read my paper, and now he's convinced. That's kind of cool.
Okay, so, seeing as the next couple of weeks are going to be kind of hectic for me, I think this is going to be it until I settle in to my new apartment in Kansas City. I have to spend the weekend packing, and next week is the PMBR class. The movers will also be here sometime next week, so I'll be out of this apartment by next weekend. I'll spend the week leading up to graduation at my parents' house, and I'll hit the road on Saturday, the 27th, and arrive on Sunday. It will probably take me a couple of days to get my internet access up and running, but I'll be e-mailing entries between now and then, so jump on the notify list if you haven't already. Otherwise... It's been great having you along for the ride of my last two years of law school, and I look forward to having you suffer through the summer with me. (Ha.) I'll see you in Kansas City!
